Effective Date: July 9, 2026
SearchCouncil.ai is built to help people compare answers from multiple AI engines. We know users may ask personal, business, technical, or sensitive questions. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what we do not do with it.
Our Simple Privacy Promise
We do not sell your data.
- We do not sell your prompts.
- We do not sell your AI responses.
- We do not sell your uploaded files.

- We do not sell your account information.
We treat your prompts, answers, uploaded files, API keys, and Council results as private user content. We do not sell them.
SearchCouncil exists to help you ask better questions across multiple AI systems — not to turn your private work into a data product.
Information We Collect
When you use SearchCouncil, we may collect the following types of information:
Account Information
This may include your name, email address, login information, subscription status, billing status, and account settings.
Search and Prompt Data
When you ask a question, SearchCouncil may store your prompt, selected council engines, model responses, judge synthesis, Council Verdict, agreement scores, follow-up questions, and related thread history.
This allows us to show your history, continue inquiries, improve the product experience, and provide the service.
API Key Information
If you use Bring Your Own Keys, you may choose to store API keys for supported AI providers in your account settings.
We store those keys on our servers, associated with your account, and use them only to run the searches and council requests you initiate. We do not display full keys after you save them, sell them, publish them, or use them for unrelated requests.
Billing Information
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not directly store full credit card numbers unless specifically stated by our payment processor.
Usage and Technical Data
We may collect basic technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, actions taken, error logs, credit usage, and performance data.
This helps us maintain the service, detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure product usage, improve performance, and protect the service.
These technologies may also support authentication, billing, analytics, and error monitoring through service providers that help us operate SearchCouncil.
Sensitive Information
SearchCouncil may be used for business, technical, research, and personal questions, but you should not submit highly sensitive information unless you understand that Council searches may be routed to third-party AI providers.
This includes, for example:
- Regulated health information
- Financial account numbers
- Government IDs
- Passwords or authentication secrets
- Trade secrets
- Confidential client data
You are responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to include in a Council search.
