Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of SearchCouncil.ai. By using SearchCouncil, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What SearchCouncil Does

SearchCouncil lets users ask one question across multiple AI engines, compare the responses, view agreement and disagreement, and receive a synthesized Council Verdict.

SearchCouncil may provide access to AI models through built-in credits, user-provided API keys, or other supported access methods.

SearchCouncil is a comparison, synthesis, and research-assistance tool. It does not guarantee that any AI response, source, score, summary, or Council Verdict is complete, accurate, current, unbiased, or appropriate for your situation.

Accounts

You may need an account to use certain features.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, login credentials, API keys, and any activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.

You may not share, transfer, resell, or misuse your account access unless SearchCouncil gives you written permission.

Free Searches, Credits, and Subscriptions

SearchCouncil may offer free monthly credits, paid credits, subscriptions, Bring Your Own Key plans, team plans, enterprise plans, or other pricing options.

Free usage limits, credit costs, model availability, included features, and pricing may change over time. Eligible accounts currently receive 30 free credits per month unless otherwise stated.

Credits may be consumed based on the number of engines used, model type, synthesis depth, search depth, retries, file usage, context length, or other usage factors explained in the product.

Unless otherwise stated, paid credits are non-refundable except where required by law.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

If payment fails, we may suspend or limit access until payment is resolved.

Bring Your Own Keys

SearchCouncil may allow users to connect their own API keys from third-party AI providers.

If you use Bring Your Own Keys, you are responsible for:

• Having permission to use those keys
• Paying any charges billed by the provider
• Managing spending limits
• Monitoring provider usage
• Following the provider’s terms and policies
• Revoking keys if they are compromised
• Ensuring your use of the provider account is authorized

SearchCouncil is not responsible for charges billed directly by third-party AI providers to your own provider accounts.

SearchCouncil may store API keys only where supported by the product. Where API key storage is available, we use keys only to process requests you initiate and operate related service features.

You should use provider-side spending limits, usage alerts, restricted keys, and revocation controls where available.

Third-Party AI Providers

SearchCouncil works by routing prompts to selected AI engines and providers.

When you use the service, your prompts, context, files, or other input may be sent to third-party AI providers so they can generate responses.

Those providers operate under their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, safety systems, pricing rules, availability limits, and data handling rules.

SearchCouncil does not control third-party AI provider outputs, availability, pricing, outages, refusals, delays, policy decisions, model changes, or data practices.

By using SearchCouncil, you understand that third-party provider processing is necessary for Council searches unless otherwise stated.

AI Output Is Not Professional Advice

SearchCouncil uses artificial intelligence systems. AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, biased, misleading, offensive, or unsuitable for your situation.

SearchCouncil does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, investment, safety, compliance, security, or other professional advice.

You are responsible for independently verifying important information before relying on it.

Do not use SearchCouncil as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions, including decisions involving health, safety, legal rights, financial outcomes, employment, housing, insurance, credit, education, criminal justice, or other significant matters.

User Content

You retain ownership of the prompts, inputs, files, and other content you submit to SearchCouncil.

You grant SearchCouncil a limited license to process, transmit, store, display, analyze, and use your content as necessary to:

• Provide the service
• Route prompts to selected AI providers
• Generate AI responses
• Create Council Verdicts
• Save your search history where enabled
• Provide support
• Debug technical issues
• Prevent abuse
• Secure the platform
• Improve the product experience

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to submit any content you provide.

You should not submit confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive information unless you understand and accept that Council searches may be routed to third-party AI providers.

Our Data Promise

SearchCouncil does not sell your prompts, responses, uploaded files, API keys, account information, or search history.

We may use service providers to operate the platform, process payments, provide infrastructure, monitor errors, send emails, support users, and route prompts to AI providers.

We may use aggregated or de-identified usage data to improve performance, reliability, pricing, product experience, and abuse prevention.

We may review specific user content when necessary to provide support, investigate abuse, debug technical issues, comply with law, or protect the service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SearchCouncil to:

• Break the law
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm others
• Generate malware, phishing, spam, scams, or fraudulent content
• Attempt to bypass security, usage limits, billing systems, credits, or access controls
• Scrape, overload, reverse engineer, attack, or disrupt the service
• Submit content you do not have the right to use
• Use the service in a way that violates third-party AI provider policies
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access without permission
• Use automated systems or bots without permission
• Interfere with other users’ access to the service
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful files
• Use SearchCouncil to build a competing service through systematic copying, benchmarking, or extraction of the platform

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for SearchCouncil, other users, providers, or the public.

Files and Uploaded Content

SearchCouncil may allow users to upload files for analysis, comparison, or context.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and process those files.

Uploaded files may be sent to selected AI providers when necessary to perform the search or analysis you request.

We may limit file size, file type, storage duration, or file functionality at any time.

Model Availability and Changes

SearchCouncil may add, remove, rename, replace, limit, or change supported AI models and providers at any time.

AI models may become unavailable, slower, more expensive, restricted, or materially different due to provider changes.

Council results may vary over time because AI models, provider systems, web data, retrieval systems, prompts, and source availability may change.

Availability and Service Changes

SearchCouncil may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time.

We do our best to keep the service useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may impose usage limits, rate limits, credit limits, file limits, context limits, or other restrictions to protect the service and manage costs.

Beta Features

Some features may be experimental or labeled as beta, preview, early access, or labs.

Beta features may be changed, limited, removed, or produce unexpected results.

You use beta features at your own risk.

Intellectual Property

SearchCouncil, including its design, software, branding, interface, workflows, scoring methods, model comparison systems, Council Verdict format, names, logos, and related materials, is owned by SearchCouncil or its licensors.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce, or create derivative works from SearchCouncil except as allowed by law or with written permission.

You may use the outputs generated for your own lawful purposes, subject to these Terms and any third-party provider rules that apply.

Feedback

If you provide feedback, ideas, suggestions, or feature requests, you allow SearchCouncil to use them without restriction or compensation.

Termination

You may stop using SearchCouncil at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk, fail to pay, abuse the service, violate provider requirements, or if we are required to do so by law.

After termination, certain data may remain in backups, logs, payment records, provider systems, or security records where legally or operationally necessary.

Disclaimers

SearchCouncil is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We make no warranties that the service will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, current, complete, or suitable for your specific needs.

AI responses and Council Verdicts are generated by automated systems and may be wrong.

You are responsible for how you interpret, verify, and use any output from the service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SearchCouncil and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost business, lost goodwill, service interruption, provider charges, or damages related to reliance on AI outputs.

Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to SearchCouncil in the three months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SearchCouncil and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of law
• Your violation of third-party provider terms
• Your misuse of API keys or third-party provider access
• Your reliance on AI outputs
• Your infringement of another party’s rights

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Any disputes will be handled in the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may notify users through the service or by email.

Your continued use of SearchCouncil after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
